Ridley Scott's summer blockbuster movie Prometheus has been hard on the advertising trail, using Twitter and other social networks to push the June 1st release.

Using hastag #areyouseeingthis @prometheusmovie, screenwriter Damon Lindelhof will host a live chat with fans, as well as YouTube screening a range of trailers and faux-documentaries on the fictional "Weyland-Yutani" corporation of the Alien film franchise. You can see a sample here on The Drum.



According to Brand Republic Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portugal and Real Madrid player, is to take part in a live-streamed football challenge against fans through Facebook tomorrow (17 May), to promote the release of a Castrol-funded documentary about him on iTunes.

Ronaldo has been sponsored by the motor oil giant for some time now, but a live streaming event on Facebook is groundbreaking for both brands - including Ronaldo himself.


Beloved (or loathed) Marmite has gone under a little re-branding ahead of the Queen's Jubilee.

Creative Match are reporting on pastiche artist Garry Walton, who was commissioned to reinvent the Royal Crest, to label jars of Marmite. Featuring a pair of corgis (loving or hating the taste) and a crown-like rack of toast, Garry’s artwork has been featured on outdoor spots outside the UK’s major supermarkets and also across Marmite’s facebook page.
