Coogan's comedic alter-ego and production company Baby Cow has been commissioned for two hour-long specials and a new online series of 'Mid Morning Matters'. The specials include a Norfolk travel show, 'Welcome to the Places of My Life', and an interview for a local book club.
But the surprise has come in the broadcaster Coogan will be working for. Partridge has never appeared outside of the BBC (minus the Fosters lager online series) but is set to make the high profile (and highly lucrative) jump to Sky Atlantic. Sky now have a range of British-made comedies on their channel, though Coogan has publicly denounced Rupert Murdoch and News International over the News of the World and the phone-hacking scandal. His recent Partidge autobiography was published by HarperCollins (of News Corp); but television for Murdoch's BSkyB?
As Alan himself might say: "Cashback."
