Chrysalis'client Maplin, the electrical retailer, has announced the appointment of agency WAA to handle their marketing and advertising account.
Based in Sutton Coldfield, the 26-year-old agency is tasked with creating an effective multi-platform campaign, as well as comprehensive marketing strategy.
“Maplin is a prestigious business and we are delighted that it has selected WAA to help it amplify its true customer value,” said WAA chief executive Andrew Wilson.
“We are very proud to have attracted some fantastic names to our agency
and to Birmingham and this is another real boost both for WAA and for
the reputation of agencies in the region.”
Maplin, founded in 1972 with over 200 outlets nationwide, has already invested £2m improving its stores as sales have taken an upswing.
Chief executive John Cleland added: “Maplin is a fantastic
business that needs to ensure that potential customers really understand
what it offers and how it differs – WAA demonstrated the perfect track
record and creative credentials for that challenge.”
