The number of tech jobs available in London has doubled since 2009, according to new independent figures from job board CWJobs.Job vacancies in digital marketing and IT based in central London has increased from 5,736 in 2009 to 9,886 in 2013, with permanent vacancies across the UK up from Q1.

But according to the report, over the last year:
Vacancies across Scotland have increased by 7.9%
Southern England advertised 4.6% more vacancies
West of England and Wales jobs up 3.1%

"This is good news for the industry and for the prospects of IT professionals across the UK who may no longer need to consider re-locating to get the best jobs," said Richard Nott, website director at CWJobs.

"As IT’s position as an inherently networked industry grows, it’s likely this trend will continue."
