Digital media colossus Aegis has announced the purchase of
Japanese marketing and search agency Hablar, becoming a subsidiary of iProspect Japan.
Established in 2003, Aegis' Japanese division has been a client of Hablar in recent years, with this acquisition designed to optimise the forthcoming search marketing boom in Asia.
According to David Holtham, CEO Aegis Media North Asia:
“We are very happy to welcome Hablar, led by Takahiro Doi, to the Aegis Media family. We have been working with Doi-san for a number of years now and have seen how the hard work and dedication by the Hablar team has transformed the company into a truly professional and capable performance media agency. With Japan’s search market still expecting double digit growth in the coming years, we are looking forward to continuing this great progress under the global iProspect brand.”
Takahiro Doi will remain as Hablar's CEO, now reporting to Yusuke Akiba, CEO of Aegis Media Japan.
