Silkroad's report provides "quantitative data about recruiting source effectiveness extracted directly from the talent management systems of some of the world’s largest companies and leading employer brands."
As a point of interest and discussion, we have detailed the results relevant to Chrysalis below.
"The participating companies ranged in size from as few as 100 employees to much larger companies, including ten of the Fortune 500 and 50 of the Fortune 1000.
Combined, the data gave insight into:
• 222,308 job postings
• 9.3 million applications
• 147,440 interviews
• 94,155 hires"
Below is a graph showing the effectiveness and success of recruitment in IT and digital industries.
According to the research, the study’s most significant findings include:
1. External and internal sources result in about the same number of interviews,
although internal sources produce almost twice the number of hires.
2. Company career sites are the greatest online recruitment source based on
interviews and hires.
3. Referrals remain the strongest base for internal recruitment marketing, followed by
inside hires and company career sites.
4. Job search engines are singularly far more effective than job boards at returning both interviews and hires.
5. Indeed was the leading external source of interviews and hires.
Are referrals and search engines a more effective recruitment tool than job boards and LinkedIn?
Silkroad's extensive research believes so - do your recruitment results reflect these findings?
