In the monthly Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) and KPMG Report on Jobs, the acceleration and growth of permanent vacancies increased for the first time in six months.

According to Recruiter.co.uk:

Across the UK the hiring of temporary workers dropped, as recruitment for permanent staff rose at a quicker pace in April than it had in March, reaccelerating hiring following the slight decrease of the past six months. The trend seen since the start of 2010 for stuttering and modest pay rises for both permanent and temporary roles continued with slightly weaker growth than seen previously, although permanent pay was down in London.

The IT sector has been relatively impervious to the dips and double-dips of the UK economy; and as as such Chrysalis has been able to consistently advertise new vacancies and source new candidates with strong rates of pay. You can see our numerous permanent vacancies posted here.

“Recruiters are reporting a renewed sense of purpose from their clients, with employers making hiring decisions more quickly than before" said REC chief executive officer Kevin Green.

"All the feedback from recruiters is that employers intend to continue to increase their use of flexible staffing in the months ahead.”
