The co-founder of job search engine Indeed.com Paul Forster believes that are yet "a lot of opportunities" for online employment industries, as he answered questions at a London seminar last night.
First Tuesday, a London tech and job search seminar, played host to Forster who answered a range of questions from an audience comprised of online entrepreneurs.
According to recruiter.co.uk, Forster believes that the employment industry has only just begun to tap into the potential of recruiting online.
He predicted “resumé databases becoming more open and companies getting better at tracking” their recruitment and employment results, as well as where companies will invest their efforts and budgets regarding employment.
The full interview will be available in Recruiter magazine.
Founded in 2004, Indeed operates in over 50 countries and in 26 languages. With offices in Texas, California and Connecticut, as well as in Dublin and London, Indeed claims over 100m unique visitors went to the site in January, offering a unique indexing tool that is essentially a search engine that pulls job adverts from around the world.
Borrowing from the Google model, Indeed offers free indexing as well as a PPC model for companies wishing to promote their adverts higher on the site. Sold to Japanese Recruit Co in September last year for a reporter $1bn, Forster's site has become a major player in the staffing and recruiting industries.
