Publicis' digital agency LBi has been hired by Carlsberg UK to manage and increase the lager brand's digital profile following a competitive pitch.

Digital agency Razorfish has reportedly beaten rivals AKQA, LBi and TribalDDB to the £10m digital account of fashion retailer C&A.

Media monolith Publicis Groupe have announced plans to spend up to four billion dollars on future acquisitions over the next five years, despite a raft of new purchases since 2007.

Following last week's £333m acquisition of Amsterdam-based LBi, Publicis Groupe chairman and chief executive Maurice Lévy has announced the merger of the two agencies to create a new global network branded DigitasLBi.

Digital agency LBi has now been officially purchased by French-led Publicis Media in a deal for 416m euros.
