The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) have announced continuing fragility in 2013, as the month of March saw a seven-month low in new job vacancies and a slight decrease in recruitment rates. The IT sector continues to lead industries in growth.

Hiring increased in November at its fastest rate for over 18 months, according to a survey of 400 job agencies by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and KPMG.

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) revealed that the industry grew by 4.37% in the 2011-12 financial year, amassing £25.7 billion of revenue.
